Toonly review – Features, Pricing, Pros & Cons

Do you know that the Doodly creators have started new explained video software? Toonly is more about creating animations. You might be encountering some ads for Toonly on social media. So, is it worth getting? Is it good to buy?

In this article, we are going to give you a complete Toonly review which is used to create animations.

What is Toonly? What can it be used for?

Toonly is the new software by Doodly that helps you create explainer videos. Note that it is not an online cloud-based platform. The videos are not whiteboard animations. The screen doesn’t display hand, drawing, or writing animations. Just like Doodly, Toonly software is also very easy to use.

There are pre-made music, objects, and people in the library and you can use those while making the videos. Also, pre-loaded elements have an inbuilt animation. While using this in your video, it is easy to emphasize videos. It allows uploading your images like objects, background, persons. But customized image animations are not possible.

Toonly can be used to create videos for giving instruction or any tutorial, product or service marketing, etc. Toonly works on both MAC and PC. It is available when you go for a single membership plan and don’t need a separate license for this. To use this software, you need an internet connection even though this is not cloud-based.

Level of difficulty & learning curve

The greatest thing about Toonly is its ease of use. The difficulty level is almost negligible, and you don’t need to be skilled in video editing to use Toonly. You don’t even need to know what actual animation is.

For first time users, the learning curve is found to be a bit steeper. But this can be resolved as there are many tutorials on how to start perfectly. And it’s just for the first-time users. Since they keep the area of coding under lock and key, the software is considered to be more beginner-friendly.

For the beginners, we would like to give crisp information on the working of Toonly.

Here it goes:

After choosing a background of your choice, drag and drop audios, text, images, or voiceovers directly to the program. You are now ready with your program and save it to send to the destination of your choice.

It’s quite easy, right??
